Google Voice

Google Voice is a fantastic VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service that allows you to have a dedicated FREE number that people can call and text you at. This is especially useful for school situations that are in remote or hybrid learning and teachers may not have access to their school voicemail or want to stay in more close contact with their students and families (without giving out their own cell number).

School accounts generally don’t have access to Google Voice (unless your district subscribes to GSuite for Education Enterprise) so here’s some info to help you work around that.
